You can’t visit Budapest and not take a trip to the Great Market Hall. Overly-touristed and over-priced as it may be, it is still a Budapest institution.
Not only is the exterior colourful and impressive, but inside you will find rows upon rows of stalls selling fresh produce, local desserts (I enjoyed a particularly good apple and plum strudel), oils and other specialities. Upstairs, there are several food stalls selling fried sweet and savoury langos, sausages and stews.
I wouldn’t recommend buying a full meal here (as I mentioned before, it is more expensive than many other places in the city and not necessarily the best quality), but it is certainly a great experience to wander around and take some photos.
