Back in May, we spent a couple of nights at The Lord Crewe Arms in Blanchland, Northumberland. We were mainly there to relax and take walks with the dog in the surrounding countryside, but what we weren’t expecting to find was a charming, serene little hotel seemingly in the middle of nowhere, with a great on-site restaurant and quirky crypt-like bar.
