Next to dining and drinking in Northern England and spending lazy afternoons at home doing some baking, travelling is our other favourite pastime. And when you are as passionate about travel as we are, you are always on the lookout for ways to do way more of it.
One way to travel more frequently (and one that has been suggested to us plenty over the years we might add) is to join an airline frequent flyer program, and this idea has certainly crossed our minds. If you are not familiar with frequent flyer programs, here’s a quick primer. Basically, you collect points (often called miles) on each trip you take with an airline, ideally racking them up by the thousands, and then eventually cashing them in towards flights to somewhere fabulous.
The only problem? Well, you’ve got to travel a lot to earn a decent amount of points, and while we sure wish we did travel a ton, we just don’t do it enough to qualify as ‘frequent fliers’, and we suspect that many of you are in the same situation.
If only there was a frequent flyer program out there for those of us that don’t actually fly that often.
Well, we are excited to let you know that there is one now and it is called Norwegian Reward from Norwegian Airlines. Yes, Norwegian Reward allows you to earn points even when you don’t take to the skies. How? Through partnerships with brands like Hotels dot com, Get Your Guide, and even car rental companies, Norwegian Reward lets you to accumulate points (called CashPoints) in your day-to-day life, and then spend them like cash towards flights.
Best of all? It’s free to join and the rules are easy to understand, making that next trip on Norwegian that much closer.
So where will you go?
Here’s a video for a little inspiration:
