I was gifted the IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Ombre Blush from Scott’s Mum, who had purchased it for herself but realised that the colour didn’t suit her complexion.
As a lover of rosy, more pinkish-hued blushers due to my fair skin, I assumed it would look ok on me, but just popped it into my makeup bag and didn’t think too much more about it. Once my regular blusher ran out, I turned to it to step in and loved the results.
Firstly, let’s take a look at what IT Cosmetics themselves say about this blusher:
“Color Correcting + Anti-Aging Blushing Veil with Hydrolyzed Collagen, Peptides & Drops of Light Technology®”
Now, I don’t know about all that, but what I do know is that the blusher has a very light, almost creamy consistency and doesn’t cake or drag on your skin when you put it on. The three colours blend perfectly together to form a pretty pink which contains the slightest shimmer, so you don’t really need to apply an extra highlighter over the top.
IT also claim that the blusher is proven to stay on all day and is waterproof. I haven’t put the waterproof thing to the test (which seems shocking considering I live in rainy Amsterdam), but I have noticed that it has good staying power and that the colour stays on my cheeks until the evening. As I tend to find that powder blushes wear off fairly easily unless you build up the colour a lot (hello, Ragdoll Annie!), then this is a definite bonus for me.
The blush is sold as being suitable for all skin tones, but honestly I’d say that it probably looks better on fair to medium skin, simply because it is fairly pink when applied, as opposed to peach (as it seems to look on the IT Cosmetics website – don’t be fooled!). However, the pigmentation and the shimmer effect mean that you don’t need to apply a lot, so even if you have darker or more tanned skin, it will probably give you a great rosy glow.
