I don’t know about you, but any dessert that has chocolate or a warm, liquid centre oozing out of it is guaranteed to be my sweet treat of choice. And as the weather is starting to turn, all I can think about is eating gooey-centred chocolate chip cookies, warm brownies and rice pudding.
Every year I watch contestants on Masterchef attempting chocolate lava cakes, only to leave them in the oven too long and get lambasted by the judges for the centre being too cakey and not liquid in the slightest. My heart goes out to those people, because it can be so tempting to think that something’s still slightly undercooked and leave it in the oven just a few minutes too long.
That hasn’t been a problem for these food-lovers though, who have concocted some of the most delicious and oozy molten lava cakes and puddings around. And I’ve collated them all into a pretty list for you to drool over. You’re welcome.
Salted Caramel Molten Chocolate Cakes (via A Cup of Joe): You know when you look a photograph and your mouth waters? Yep, happening right now. Need to make these bad boys, stat.
Easy Whole Wheat Raspberry Molton Cakes (via Chocolate and Carrots): As if raspberries and chocolate weren’t already a match made in heaven, they now come with a side of molten ooziness.
Molten Dulce de Leche Cakes (via Bon Appetit): Forgive me father, for I am about to sin. By eating five of these in one go. No joke.
Molten Nutella Lava Cakes For Two (via Veggie and the Beast): Hazelnutty, chocolatey ooziness for a romantic dinner for two. Sounds bloomin’ lovely.
Raw Chocolate Molten Lava Cakes with Goji Berries (via This Rawsome Vegan Life): Just when you thought molten cakes were only for gluttons, this raw molten cake with superfood goji berries reels you back in with its wonderful healthiness.
Chips Ahoy: Molten-Chocolate Surprise (via Target Recipes): Cakes with a cookie bottom and a melty chocolate middle? Sign me up.
Molten Chocolate and Salted Caramel Tarts (via The Sugar Hit): Here we are with the delicious salted caramel and chocolate combo again, except this time in delicate pastry tart form.
Molten Choco Banana Bread (via Lady and Pups): If you can find me a more tempting and delicious-looking banana bread that oozes chocolate, I’ll eat my hat. I actually don’t wear hats, so that shows you that I’m serious.
Marshmallow Filled Molten Chocolate Cakes with Peanut Butter Fudge Sauce (via Stew or a Story): The title of this recipe made my head explode. I didn’t know it was possible to put so many tasty ingredients in one little pudding.
Red Velvet Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes with Chocolate Ganache Center (via Half Baked Harvest): Give this dessert to your loved one and you may as well assume that they’ll propose on the spot.
Bailey’s Dark Chocolate Molten Lava Cake (via The First Year): A creamy melted chocolate and Bailey’s liqueur liquid centre? Oh my. Hold me back.
Raspberry-Filled Molten Chocolate Cupcakes (via Martha Stewart): The only downside to this recipe being for cupcakes? I’m more likely to inhale several of them in one go.
Microwave Chocolate Cake in a Mug (via PopSugar): Sometimes you want a yummy and delicious chocolate pudding but without having to stand by the oven for the best part of an hour. I hear ya. This recipe is for those weeknights when only chocolate cake will do.
Chocolate Molten Lava Cake (via Oh Sweet Day): Last but not least, this is a classic chocolate lava cake made with only 5 ingredients that looks restaurant-quality. What are you waiting for?
