Did you know that the Commonwealth Games start in Glasgow on 23rd July? I didn’t. Having only visited Glasgow once at Christmas time, I’d love to visit the city during summer, especially if there’s a good reason like this one.
Plus, while you’re there, you can hop on a Megabus (my preferred method of transport in Scotland as the service seems to be better there than in England!) and visit some of the country’s other attractions, such as the Scotch Whisky Experience, Loch Ness and the Castle Trail (a trail that takes in 17 of Aberdeen’s finest castles).
This infographic offers you a bit more information about the games themselves, some of the athletes taking part and some of the other fab things you can do around the country while you’re there.
