If there’s one meal that’s guaranteed to be on our menu every week, it’s fajitas. Usually veggie ones, because we’re trying to eat less meat these days.
Fajitas have become our go-to meal whenever we can’t decide what to make or if we’re just craving some tex mex food. Plus, they’re a great thing to make almost anywhere in the world. Most supermarkets, no matter which country you’re in, will sell tortillas and seasoning. It’s a no-brainer.
As much as I love making fajitas on a regular basis, I don’t love the packaged fajita seasoning. They can be hit and miss. Not to mention that they’re often loaded with MSG or preservatives. And after having been sat on a shelf for months, the spices are less than fresh.
It’s so easy to make your own seasoning, once you have a few key ingredients. And once you’ve bought the spices, you can either make a big batch and keep it in an airtight container or jar, or simply make a small amount every time you want to eat fajitas.
