Remember that awesome safety video from Air New Zealand I was telling you about? Well, it’s finally been released. And it’s even better, and funnier, than I thought it would be.
The video goes through all of the steps we’re used to seeing in a safety video – from putting on your seat belt to what to do in the event of an emergency. The difference is that the Sports Illustrated models are shown undertaking the safety measures while in the stunning Cook Islands, and all in less-than-usual circumstances. For example, one girl is shown looking at herself in her oxygen mask while laying in a hammock, while another is shown jumping into a pool while wearing her life vest. I love that this video doesn’t take itself too seriously and that the local actors are all making fun of the fact that the girls are gorgeous. And the cameo appearance from original supermodel Christie Brinkley definitely ups the cool stakes.
I also love that the video features two real-life flight attendants – although judging by their beach bodies at the end, perhaps they were chosen partly for their good looks 😉 And there are plenty of locals in there making cameos too – who all seem to be attractive as well!
Hopefully the video doesn’t get anyone’s hopes up that they will see only beautiful people like the ones in the video if they visit the Cook Islands, but they should be warned that they will see only beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters.
Apparently the video will be rolled out across the airline towards the end of February, but until then, five lucky people could win a trip to the Cook Islands; the setting for this wonderful film. You can check that out and enter here.
This post was sponsored by Air New Zealand, but they didn’t ask me to write about how jealous I was of all the supermodels – I did that all by myself.
