My love for New Orleans came quickly and quite out of the blue.
It was partly the food, partly the music, partly the atmosphere and partly the architecture. Perhaps it was also because I could sit out on my hotel room balcony in the evenings listening to the local jazz station and enjoying a few Abita strawberry beers, watching life pass by down below.
There is something special about this city, and my little corner of the French Quarter was no different.
