Looking back through all of my photos from the last fourteen months, I’ve realised how few of my photos have actually made it on to the blog, due to one reason or another. There have been occasions, due to bad internet or lack of time, where I’ve just omitted to talk about some of the places I’ve been at all. This is pretty bad of me *slaps wrists*, mainly because I like to think of this blog as somewhere to record photos and feelings that one day I can look back on and reminisce. So, in order to try to rectify this, I’m going to start a series called Flashback Friday where I’ll share an as-yet-unposted photo every week.
One evening at sunset while we were in Edinburgh last December we decided to walk (read: puff and pant) up Calton Hill to look out over the city.
It was freezing cold, and I wasn’t really feeling it. Mainly because I don’t like have to inadvertently do exercise I haven’t signed up for and mainly because I just wanted to go and get food.
However, once we got up there, we could see right across Edinburgh and the Christmas markets. Locals were up there, walking their dogs and taking the view for granted, and it was nice and peaceful.
I like this photo because we look happy and excited for the Christmas period. It’s one of my favourite times of year and I knew that I’d be seeing my family again soon.
