Seeing as how it is nearly a year since I took off on my first solo trip to Vietnam, I thought I would share with you the view that greeted me from my hostel room in Saigon as soon as I arrived there.
This picture sums up everything about Saigon: it is crazy, it is unorganised, but for those fews days it was mine. And I really enjoyed it there.
Sometimes a stunning view isn’t everything. Sometimes a view can sum up a place perfectly and can stay with you more because of the feelings you felt when you saw it. For me, when I saw this view it meant that I had done it, I was there, on my first trip on my own. And I was so excited.
I *love* “from my window”-type shots. They make everything very real.
Thanks Kelsey! I love them too, always end up taking them wherever I go.

Saigon is just a crazy place isn’t it. Did you visit the War Remnants museum? Some pretty harrowing images of war that really show what they went through for so long! Keep up the blog and the good work. Dave and Helen.
Yes, I did go to the museum and I agree it was pretty harrowing. Even though Saigon was crazy I enjoyed it 🙂 Thanks for reading!

I love the feeling of arriving somewhere new and looking out the window at what will be ‘home’ for the next little while 🙂
Me too 🙂

Vietnam is near the top of my to-visit list!
I loved it, it is a very diverse country and everyone has differing opinions on which aspects of it they enjoy.
